We are very proud to introduce to you a fantastic MTB and Hiking experience. The 80km of farm trails with about 8km of single track, incorporates all that a mountain biker and hiker enthusiast demands. A magnificent setting surrounded by beautiful scenery, undulating and flowing track, which we hope will be a pleasure for you to ride and walk. It is safe and fully marked and is designed in such a way to accommodate all ages and fitness levels.
We have tried to make it fast and free flowing with a few technical sections along the way. You will ride over all types of surfaces but in general it will be smooth. The hills are user friendly and enjoyable for the average rider. There are a number of route options and shortcuts and this allows you to choose your distance and route for the day.
Steaming hot showers and changing facilities are available. A small coffee shop which operates on an honesty system has coffee, tea, energy drinks and bars and a small choice of meals for the hungry visitor.
Clubs, Corporate, Groups and friends are very welcome. Besides 80km of marked trails, the facility include 8 showers, 8 toilets, change rooms, a registration and storeroom area, an entertainment area, a coffee shop, 300m2 of shaded area, a volley ball court, a refrigerator for functions and a large grassed area. Corporate or groups may use the facilities for clients or staging their own races.
We also have very comfortable self catering farm Accommodation right next to the facility. “The Cottage” sleeps six and “The Shed” sleeps seven. Perfect for a MTB or Hiking getaway.
Our primary business is Sugar Cane production but we have decided to open up our farm and all its beauty for you to enjoy. We have it all, in timber plantations, sugar cane fields, grasslands, indigenous bush, high sandstone cliffs, deep valleys, streams and dams. We like to think that this is another special place, for you the mountain biker and hiker, to pursue your sport in this beautiful province of KZN.
Come and have some fun!!
We would like to acknowledge and thank Priscilla Vale Farm, Greenways Farm and Dering Farm for allowing our routes to transverse their properties.

Virginia Trail Reviews
"I just want to say thanks for providing us with an outstanding environment in which to ride. Yesterday was unbelievable out there, and would never have been possible if you and your team did not maintain the trails"
"We rode Virginia Farms yesterday for the first time and it was a fantastic experience. I am struggling to decide whether I should tell others about it for them to also enjoy it or to keep it special. It is the best venue, facilities, variety of trails and route marking I have ridden in KZN and the Western Cape (where I relocated from late last year)."
"Just to let you know we had a fantastic ride yesterday. The trails are really in great condition"
"Way beyond our expectations!" 12/5/13
"Wooo hoo! I've missed this place. Still the best" 26/6/13
One liners from theTrail Book "Awesome/ Love it!/ Magical!/My Happy Place!/ Trails A1/ Brilliant!/Epic Trails/ Highly recommended"
“The track was in my opinion outstanding (and I am relatively new to this experience) yet left one with a sense of achievement afterwards. Even my son enjoyed it and he has only ever ridden about 25 km’s off road.”
“A group of us were fortunate enough to get to test the new track at Virginia Farm prior to the Weekends Christmas race.
What an awesome track, great jeep track, single track, bridge crossings and some really cool technical bits.
The track is brand new, with purposely built single track carved into the side of mountains with stunning views of Mid Illovo and the entire valley.
We are a group of 12 riders from Durban, Pinetown and Maritzburg ranging from racing snakes to weekend warriors, without exception every rider was impressed and vowed to be back again with friends and family in tow. I know I certainly will.”
“It was an awesome ride and we will be back. I am not sure I want to tell other riders about the place…….I want to keep it to myself to have all the tracks to myself!!!”
“This one gets two thumbs up from me. If you enjoy the Juicy Lucy and Illovo Eston races, you will enjoy this jewel”
“Thank you so much for sharing your beautiful farm with us. We had a great ride, the course you have built is awesome. A little bit of everything. Having ridden Mtb’s competitively for plus/minus 18 years and having ridden many varied courses, your single track is fantastic, a lot of thought has obviously gone into it and a lot of work, it matches any of the best single track we have ridden, it is just perfect.”
“I had the privilege of riding on your farm for the 2nd time the past weekend and would firstly like to thank you and secondly let you know your route is comparable to anything I have ridden anywhere in South Africa. Roy will tell you that with the various races I have travelled extensively throughout SA and have had the privilege of riding on numerous routes both privately owned, on conservancies, etc that we would normally not have access to.
Your route is off the top shelf and I look forward to returning with mates to show them what true Mountain biking is about”
“The first 10 kilometres of trail and single track were superb-I especially enjoyed the first single track down through the forest and the other one that stands out is the one across the hillside. They flowed beautifully and were therefore ride able at fast and slow speeds- we were a group of diverse skills. As a mountain biker, I have a pet hate of having to ride on tufty veld grass and it was great not finding any sign of this horrible stuff anywhere on your trails.
It was pleasant to find no ugly hills, despite the website profile: it was greatly appreciated that you’d taken the trouble to make the climb part of the route by using gentle and meandering gradients.”
